A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

Antonia M. Fox, Ed.D.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

It is both an honor and a privilege to continue to serve as the Superintendent of Page County Public Schools (PCPS) and welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. Each new school year brings its own brand of excitement and energy, and this one is no different. The new school year also comes with a fresh, new beginning.

We hope that everyone has taken some time to re-energize themselves over the summer.  Fall sports have kicked off, floors have been shined, acres of grass mowed, and professional learning is taking place across the division. There have been upgrades to technology and security systems, new staff have been hired, buses prepared, and lessons designed to engage.

Each year we as a division chooses a new theme which encompasses our vision and goals for the new school year. In 2024-2025, we invite everyone to join us as we navigate toward Positive Pathways. We are often tempted or forced to only see the negative in situations, but our theme guides us to look for positive pathways. Positive Pathways also challenges us to look for pathways that lead to success and opportunity for students and reminds us that everyone’s path is not always the same. In the words of Dr. Bryan Huber, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, and Mr. Craig Tutt, Luray Elementary School Assistant Principal, Positive Pathways engages us to be “enthusiastically optimistic” and “irrationally hopeful”, respectively.

During the 2024-2025 school year, we will continue to focus on academic growth, communicate effectively, and work together to build stronger partnerships in support of our students. Teachers and other staff will continue to work tirelessly to develop instruction that supports students at every level and works toward preparing our students for life beyond graduation.

PCPS is a great place to learn and grow with many wonderful things taking place each day. Thank you for choosing to partner with us, for choosing to look for those Positive Pathways, and for helping us have an impact on the lives of our students, families, and community! If you have not taken a moment to download our PCPS App, we encourage you to do so HERE

If I, or any of our staff, can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a wonderful 2024-2025 school year and always look for the positive pathway!

Wishing you all the best,

Antonia M. Fox, Ed.D.
