Students in Mrs. Alger's and Mrs. Culler's 11th grade English classes, at Luray High School, have spent this week preparing for their End of Course writing assessment, which will take place immediately following Spring Break.
Students spent three days in friendly competition with their classmates doing a variety of activities to review writing skills. Students participated in an argumentative writing Kahoot game, had races on choosing correct confusing words, practiced MLA citation, completed essay puzzles, and broke out of two Escape Rooms.
It was an excellent review of skills that was intended to help prepare them for the big writing event, while also having a little fun.
