LHS FCCLA members attended the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America National Fall Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. These members competed in career-focused challenge tests and Skill Demonstration Events that tested their knowledge in various Family and Consumer Science and FCCLA skills. Congratulations to Syd Drain for placing in the top 3 in the nation in the Early Childhood challenge. This is an exceptional accomplishment!
While at the conference, these members also received the opportunity to network with fellow youth leaders, focus on personal development, career exploration, and leadership development. Attendees also heard from keynote speakers, participated in leadership workshops, and learned skills to make a difference in their families, careers, and communities.
