Page County Public Schools is excited to share with you that Mr. Derek Ritenour has been selected as the new principal of Luray Middle School (LMS). Mr. Ritenour holds a Masters of Education from Shenandoah University and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Ferrum College. In addition to serving as a middle school agriculture teacher, Mr. Ritenour has seven years of administrative experience. He currently serves as an assistant principal at Central High School in Shenandoah County Public Schools.
Mr. Ritenour and his wife, who is an elementary school teacher, have two children together. Mr. Ritenour is excited to join the LMS family and get to know and serve the Page County community. He brings a variety of educational experiences to the position and his skills will ensure Luray Middle moves forward and that we continue to provide the very best experience to students, staff, and families.
