Building Relationships At Stanley Elementary School
During the first week of school, Mrs. Longanecker’s second grade class learned about the importance of building relationships. At morning meeting, they read the book "Our class is a family," by Shannon Olsen. Mrs. Longanecker led the students in a discussion on how their class will operate like a family by practicing love and kindness towards each other, and how their classroom is a safe environment to learn and grow. The students then celebrated their newfound friendships by creating matching friendship bracelets.
