On Monday, September 26, 2022, administrators, teachers, and staff of Page County Public Schools, participated in division-wide professional development sessions that are scheduled into the academic calendar each year.
Dr. Matt Hurt, guest presenter, engaged teachers in the value of using the resources provided by the Comprehensive Instructional Program (CIP) to support instruction and how to use the data to increase student success. Other sessions included team meetings and collaboration between departments, strategies to support student behavior, and iReady sessions focusing on delivering differentiated instruction and how to use data to plan instruction. There was even the opportunity to engage in some fun with the Technology Department of PCPS, where they taught Dashes, Doodles, and Escape Rooms to teachers.
PCPS prides itself in offering professional development opportunities to allow staff to be the best they can be for their students. This also allows for those students to become engaged learners and lead successful and rewarding lives beyond the classroom.
