PCPS
Good morning Luray Middle Faculty, Staff and Families,
Late last night, PCPS was made aware by the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) of a threat toward the school that was made on a social media platform by two students yesterday afternoon. This threat is being investigated and the students involved will not be at school. To provide reassurance to everyone, there will be an additional presence of law enforcement at LMS today. Counselors are available for any student who may need to speak with someone throughout the day.
Threats of this nature are taken very seriously and this incident will be investigated fully and in accordance with the PCPS Student Handbook and Code of Conduct. Additionally, law enforcement will remain involved in this incident.
Please speak with your child about continuing to help us provide a safe and secure learning environment for everyone. If you or your child become aware of any potential threats please immediately notify a school staff member, a school resource officer, or contact law enforcement.
We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students and staff. Thank you to the PCSO and all of our law enforcement partners for their assistance and support.
Thank you for your continued support of LMS and Page County Public Schools.
Unfortunately, due to the impending thunderstorms forecasted for this evening, the JV football game with Luray vs. East Rock has been POSTPONED. No new date has been set at this time.
Thank you.

📣 Attention Parents and Students! 📣
Just a quick reminder, students need to bring their Meal ID Card (the green card with a barcode) to school every day! 🏫🍎 This card is essential for accessing school meals and ensures a smooth and efficient process in the cafeteria.
Please make sure it’s in their backpack or lunchbox each morning. If they’ve misplaced it, let us know so we can get a replacement sorted.
Thanks for your cooperation! 😊

School starts in Page County on Monday, August 26, 2024. Please remember to use caution near bus stops and to STOP for the school bus. Let's have a great school year!
As the new school year is about to begin, we hope everyone is taking advantage of the opportunities to visit your child's school to meet the teachers either today (middle and high schools) or tomorrow (elementary schools).
We would like to take the time to give an enormous THANK YOU to our custodians, maintenance staff, mechanics, transportation department, nutritional services, technology staff, school counselors, administrative assistants, and administration for all they have done this summer to prepare for the school year ahead.
It takes everyone to make a school division successful, and we think we have THE BEST! If you see them around the schools, be sure to let them know you appreciate the job they are doing.
