Good afternoon,
After a period of time where all power had to be cut to the building to repair a damaged transformer, power has been fully restored to PCMS. During this power outage, lunch was served, restroom facilities were available to all, and instruction continued, albeit without technology devices. Thank you to the PCMS teachers and staff for adapting and making the day a productive one. Thank you to our PCMS students for responding positively to staff directives and working through the challenges of the day. Thank you to our maintenance and food service staff for stepping up and responding so quickly and efficiently.
Dear PCMS Faculty, Staff, and Families,
A transformer has blown outside of Page County Middle School resulting in parts of the school losing power. Instruction is continuing while more information is being gathered by PCPS maintenance staff and Shenandoah Valley Electric. Food services staff are continuing with lunch preparations and we are evaluating to determine if we need to release students early.
At this time, all students and staff are safe and we will continue to provide updated information. If a decision is made to release students early, we will provide advanced notice to families.
Thank you

Good evening PCPS Faculty, Staff and Families,
All PCPS schools and offices will open on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This is out of an abundance of caution and in anticipation of more rainfall this evening, in response to a flood warning that has been issued for our area, and the varied conditions across the county.
If the division needs to close tomorrow because road conditions are not safe enough for school buses, student drivers and staff, we will notify everyone as soon as possible in the morning. We will always err on the side of the safety of our students and staff. We thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Thank you!

Out of an abundance of caution, all PCPS schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Students should plan to arrive at their bus stop two hours later than they normally would. Breakfast and lunch will be served at school.
We are monitoring road conditions and should they not be safe enough for our buses, student drivers and staff, we will communicate with everyone as early as possible tomorrow morning.
Thank you and please stay safe.
Good afternoon faculty, staff and families,
We are sending this message in response to the forecasted rain and the flood watch that has been issued for our area.
At this time, no decision has been made with regard to school tomorrow, Monday, September 30th. However, in order to allow everyone time to prepare, we are advising you that we may need to call a two-hour delay to navigate potentially hazardous road conditions caused by the predicted rainfall. If the decision is made to call a two-hour delay for tomorrow that decision will be made by 8:30pm this evening.
We also advise everyone to prepare in the event that road conditions deteriorate and school may have to be canceled tomorrow.
Again, at this time, NO DECISION has been made yet regarding the schedule for school on Monday, September 30th. We will continue to keep everyone informed throughout the evening.
We thank you in advance for your continued patience as we work to ensure the safety of everyone.
