PCPS elementary students participated in the Summer Enrichment program which focused on friendships, self-regulation, and communication by completing a variety of engaging STEM activities. These students were able to work together, without using their voices, to create a fictional 'monster' from everyday materials. Special thanks to all the PCPS staff who ensured the success of Summer Enrichment 2021.

Last week, two students from Luray High School and two students from Page County High School participated in the Valley Health Health Sciences Academy. Valley Health System partners with the public schools of Winchester City, Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren counties along with Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) to promote interest and education in the health professions.
During the FOUR day Academy selected participants engage in hands-on learning activities at Winchester Medical Center, Shenandoah University, and LFCC. Following the academy, the students will have an opportunity to take a Student Development course (SDV101 college credit) at LFCC designed to assist students with transition from high school to college.
