Career and Technical Education Month is February and we are celebrating the programs within our schools. Check out our Future Farmers of America: FFA members raised a market steer on campus of PCHS and the meat was then purchased by Warren County Farm Bureau and donated to “Reaching Out Now” a program that feeds the hungry in the community. Pictured is FFA members delivering their finished product to “Reaching Out Now”.

We are also still celebrating Career and Technical Education Month at PCPS. Page County High School FFA members have had a busy fall and winter. We hosted our Food for America program, collected items for senior citizens in a nursing home for the holidays, gave funds to support the giving tree at PCHS, held a goat show that was judged but a special guest judge Mr. David Cale, and we are gearing up for our livestock judging trip to Virginia Tech.

Ms. Kendra Piscitelli- Page County Middle School -Music Ms. Piscitelli has received NUMEROUS shout-outs in our initiative. 1)" Mrs. P goes above and beyond to help her students feel love and support. Her dedication to the music program is amazing, often working late nights and weekends to get things done and organized. Tell Me Something Good-- Mrs. Kathleen Keim--2nd grade teacher--Springfield Elementary School 1) "Mrs. Keim is the kind of teacher that makes me want to be in her class!!! Her life experiences create this mash up of knowledge that makes her easily relatable and so fascinating! Mrs. Keim knows just how to connect with my child to make him want to be better, to work harder. He still says how much he misses her and would go back to 2nd grade in a hot second! Tell Me Something Good-- We will call them as they were identified LOL --"The Circle Ladies" at Luray Elementary School. "I would just like to say Thank you to all the wonderful ladies that man the circle pick up and drop off line. They are out there sweating and freezing and they always have a smile and a wave and a sweet greeting for each kid. Tell Me Something Good-- Ms. Coleen Manzano --2nd grade Teacher--Shenandoah Elementary School "Mrs. Manzano goes above and beyond for all her students. She had one of my older kids for 1st grade and he was having a lot of difficulty and she communicated with me and together we worked to figure out how to best help him. It took all school year and multiple different ideas, but she never gave up on him. Then she had another of my kids for 1st grade and now again in 2nd grade and while he can be difficult she has the patience of a Saint and again, she communicates with me and we work together to figure out the best way to help him. I know she's like that with all her students. They are all treated as if they were her own. I can never thank her enough for how she's been with my kids in the 3 years they've had her. I only wish she'd keep moving up in grades so my youngest could keep having her."--Jackie Staples Thank you, Ms. Manzano, for never giving up on our students, and for always looking for a new/better way to reach them. Next up today, we have Ms. Emily Deamond --Music PCHS Ms. Deamond also has received multiple shout-outs for being so awesome. 1) "I am speaking on behalf of all Ms. Deamond's students. Ms. Deamond is amazing. She makes an effort to make all her students feel welcome and accepted. She works extremely hard as well. She is the director of the Marching Panthers and puts on a musical every year, if possible. Her efforts do not go unnoticed, as she has made a home away from home for her students out of the band room. She absolutely deserves a shout out."-- students of Ms. Deamond 2)"Emily goes above and beyond to provide her students with kindness and support. Her dedication to the music program is unwavering, often working on nights and weekends! She is organized and has open communication with students and parents.
