Luray Elementary School

Dear PCPS Faculty, Staff, Students and Families, Page County Public Schools (PCPS) is announcing the immediate retirement of the Page County High School (PCHS) Athletic Director. Mr. Frankie Comer has decided that he needs to step down from his role as the Athletic Director due to health concerns. Mr. Comer began his 37-year career in education at Page County High School where he has served as a Health and Physical Education teacher, a Driver Education instructor, and an alternative education teacher. He has also served as an assistant principal across the division, the varsity and junior varsity football coach at PCHS, and the head coach and assistant track coach at PCHS. The open position of Athletic Director is posted on the division’s website. Division and school staff will be working as quickly as possible to fill this position, as well as providing ongoing support to ensure a seamless transition for students, families and the school. Message for Parents of Students Participating in the Elementary Summer Academic Academy at Luray Elementary School Thursday, June 27, 2024 As a result of the storm which passed through the area last night, SVEC is completing repairs in the area that have required the power to be temporarily shut off at Luray Elementary School. We are moving all students and staff to Luray Middle School to complete the Summer Learning Session that is taking place today until 1:30pm. Transportation has been notified and will be picking the students up from Luray Middle School to transport students home at the regularly scheduled time this afternoon. Any parents or guardians who will be picking up their student should go to Luray Middle instead of Luray Elementary. Food services have been notified and they are coordinating to provide food services at Luray Middle School. If you have any questions, please contact Luray Middle School at 540-843-2660. Thank you!
