Dear PCPS Faculty, Staff, Students and Families,
Page County Public Schools (PCPS) is announcing the immediate retirement of the Page County High School (PCHS) Athletic Director. Mr. Frankie Comer has decided that he needs to step down from his role as the Athletic Director due to health concerns. Mr. Comer began his 37-year career in education at Page County High School where he has served as a Health and Physical Education teacher, a Driver Education instructor, and an alternative education teacher. He has also served as an assistant principal across the division, the varsity and junior varsity football coach at PCHS, and the head coach and assistant track coach at PCHS.
The open position of Athletic Director is posted on the division’s website. Division and school staff will be working as quickly as possible to fill this position, as well as providing ongoing support to ensure a seamless transition for students, families and the school.
PCPS and PCHS thanks Mr. Comer for his many years of dedicated service to the division and we extend our best wishes to him.
Thank you,
Antonia M. Fox, Ed.D.
Superintendent
