Thank you for your continued patience - Buses have departed the Page High and Middle campus and are headed to Shenandoah or Stanley Elementary. PCHS Tech Center students have been transported back to PCHS and will be catching their regular bus home. Decisions about PCHS afternoon and evening events will be made once we have more information on the power situation. CCLC programs at both PCMS and Stanley Elementary have been cancelled.
Students at Luray Elementary, Springfield ES, Luray MS, and Luray High are being dismissed at their regular time today. Luray High students at the Technical Center will return to LHS at their regular time. All activities at LES, Springfield ES, LMS , LHS and PCTC will continue as scheduled this afternoon and evening.

The CCLC program at Stanley Elementary is being cancelled today and those students will ride thor regular bus home.
We anticipate that buses will be leaving Stanley Elementary around 2:30pm. We will continue to provide updated information this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and support.

CCLC at Page County Middle is being canceled and those students will ride their regular bus home. Page County Middle school track practice is also canceled. A decision about all other afternoon and evening activities will be made once we get additional updates from the power company.

PCPS IS NOW PLANNING FOR SUMMER CAMPS--
PCPS will be offering 4 different camps this summer, similar to last year. All PCPS students currently in grades K-11 are invited to express interest using the link included in this post. Each camp will run Monday through Thursday. PCPS will be providing transportation at centralized locations. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
In order to provide the best experience possible, camps will be limited to 30 students. Should more than 30 students express interest, a lottery system will be used to select students.
All students desiring to attend should complete the form NO LATER THAN April 9, 2024. Students selected through the lottery to attend each camp will be notified using the email address provided in this form.

Luray High School is pleased to announce that the LHS 2023-2024 Support Staff of the Year is Amanda Turner, Guidance Secretary. Amanda has jumped right into this role at LHS with a warm smile and kind heart. She is always approachable, willing to help in any situation, and friendly to all that come into the Counseling Office. Mrs. Turner is a problem solver and will seek to find a solution even if she is unsure of the answer. Her peers say that she represents calm under pressure as she is always attentive to each individual's needs and treats all with respect even when busy. Congratulations, Mrs. Turner!
Luray High School is pleased to announce that the LHS 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year is Lynn "Skip" Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton wears multiple hats at LHS - SPED / Math Teacher, SPED department chair, coach (3 sports), mentor, committee chairperson, etc. He handles all the roles with kindness, cooperation, collaboration, humor, firmness, and patience. He is a role model for our students and staff. Congratulations, Mr. Hamilton!

Last week, Ms. Getz's World Geography students were able to "visit" many different places. With the help of our amazing ITRT, Ms. Vaughn, students were able to see such places as Vancouver, Toronto, Niagara Falls, the Golden Gate Bridge, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and the Grand Canyon.

All PCPS athletics, practices and other events are cancelled today, Friday, March 22, 2024. As soon as make-up schedules are available, they will be shared by schools. All PCPS facilities are currently closed with the exception of Luray High School which is still serving as a shelter to those in need or those who may need to connect with community or emergency resources.
We continue to pray for our families and community; for the safety of all of those fighting the fires; or those in support of that hard, dangerous work; for those who have lost property or homes; and for all those supporting others in their time of need. Thank you to everyone who has called to offer support, provide food or other items, or volunteer their time. Page County is a truly special place!

As a result of the impact of the ongoing various fires, power outages, and the use of Luray High School as a designated evacuation shelter for the Red Cross, all PCPS schools and offices will be closed on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Faculty and staff are to remain home unless contacted by their supervisor. Any family, student, or staff member in need of immediate support can report to Luray High School, which is open and functioning as a shelter.
