Springfield Area--

Please expect delays.
All Page County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay today, Thursday, December 5, 2024. Students should report to their bus stops two-hours later than normal and breakfast and lunch will be served. 12-month staff report one hour late. We are continuing to monitor conditions across the area and will communicate updates or changes if needed. Again, we thank you for your support as we navigate challenging weather conditions working to ensure the safety of all. Thank you!
Good evening PCPS Faculty, Staff and Families,
PCPS is monitoring the weather that is expected throughout the evening and the day tomorrow, to include the wind advisory issued for our area. At this time, we are advising everyone to prepare in the event that school may have to be delayed, canceled, or students dismissed early if conditions deteriorate throughout the day. If any changes to tomorrow morning’s schedule are needed, they will be made and communicated by 5:30am. At this time (7:00 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 4, 2024), school is starting on time tomorrow, Thursday, December 5, 2024.
We also are reminding everyone that while conditions in one part of the county may seem okay, they may be hazardous in other parts of the county - we have to consider all elevations, all road types and all locations, especially those where our buses travel. Decisions are made for the entire school division as a whole based on the safety of all. Weather is unpredictable and we make the best decisions we can with the information and forecasts we have at the time. There are times when we get it right and there are times when we do not. However, we will always make decisions out of abundance of caution and err on the side of student and staff safety. Always!
We thank you in advance for your continued patience as we work to ensure the safety of everyone.
Thank you and have a good evening!
