Mrs. Bauserman's French 3 class has been reading the book "Le Petit Prince" by Antoine de St-Exupery. As a culminating project, students had to create an "8th planet " for the main character The Little Prince to visit. Essentially inserting their own chapter into the book! They had to write a chapter as well as make a 3D model of the story. Students explored many themes from equality, judgment, friendships, sadness, childhood versus adulthood, and innocence. The projects are on display in the Luray High School library.

Yesterday, the Luray High School Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica came to read to Luray Elementary school’s English Learner students. The elementary children were so excited to read with the big kids and to listen to some of the stories read to them in their home language. Our English Learners even helped the high school students by correcting their accents and pronunciation of words. What a great experience for all involved.
