LHS Class of 2023 strikes again!
Lunchtime LHS--
Student rushes to Mrs. Clark (principal)
Student (Loudly) :"Mrs. Clark, you need to go outside fast. Something is going on--LIKE NOW!"
Mrs. Clark----Calls on the radio "Deputy Beahm, I'm going to need you outside right now!!," as she barrels out of the front doors (with at least 60 kids behind her).
Mrs. Clark stops, looks around, and is just a little shocked to watch as her car goes by on the back of a rollback. LOL.
SRO Deputy Beahm DID go outside, only so he could record it because he was in on the prank, and rumor has it Mrs. Clark's husband may have played a part in it too! (wink, wink)
Thank you to Stacey's Towing for helping the kids to pull off another great prank!
Nice job, Class of 2023!

Earlier this week, Ms. Knight and Miss. Cubbage took their students on an end of the year celebration to Lake Arrowhead and then made a special visit to Dr. Painter's new goat farm. Everyone had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather and meeting Dr. Painter's new babies.

Students in Mrs. Alger's English class completed projects based on Night, by Elie Wiesel. Projects included movie posters, timelines, letters to Elie and Nazi soldiers, 3D models of the concentration camps or what they perceived Elie's room looked like. Some also drew character analysis posters or constructed gravestones remembering those who lived through the holocaust.

Earlier this spring, middle and high school students throughout the county submitted their best sandwich ideas and then all middle and high students were given a chance to vote for their favorite submission. PCPS Nutritional Services is excited to serve the winning "Knockout Sandwich" on May 26, 2023, at all middle and high schools. The sandwich, created by Page County Middle School students Atari Good and Jackson McInturff, was based on their favorite meats and cheese. They are also fans of Creed films (Rocky spinoffs) leading to their sandwich name. If this sandwich is truly a "knockout", it may appear on future menus! Thanks to all who submitted sandwich ideas and voted.

Come out and support LHS FCCLA THIS WEEKEND and help them earn money for their trip to Denver for Nationals.
