Schools Opening Two-Hour Dealy - Thursday, January 18, 2023
All PCPS schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Plan to arrive at your bus stop two hours later than you normally would and anticipate potential delays in transportation as our drivers will travel with extra care and caution.
We ask parents or guardians of students who drive to school to talk with them about being particularly careful in the morning. We want everyone to arrive safely and ready to learn.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at school. Please be advised that we needed to make changes to the breakfast and lunch menus for Thursday and these updates can be viewed on the division website.
Thank you to the PCPS maintenance and custodial staff and grounds crew, as well as the County, towns, and VDOT for their work to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks. We thank everyone for their continued patience and flexibility as we continue to make decisions that have everyone’s safety as the primary concern.
Thank you, stay safe and have a good evening.

Activities Update - January 17, 2024
Games that were scheduled today have been postponed. Practices may be held at the school’s discretion but will end by 4:30pm. No student will be penalized for not being able to attend a practice due to unsafe road conditions in their area or due to a lack of transportation. School staff and/or coaches will be communicating with students and families as soon as possible.
Dates for events that can be rescheduled will be shared as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Weather Update - Wednesday, January 17, 2024
Out of an abundance of caution and due to hazardous road conditions in some areas within the school division, especially on secondary roads, all PCPS schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. 12-month staff will report on a two-hour delay. A decision about afternoon or evening activities will be made by noon on Wednesday.
Thank you, stay safe and have a good evening.

All PCPS schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 due to inclement weather. All afternoon and evening events have been cancelled. While the decision to cancel school is never an easy one, the safety of faculty, staff and students is our number one priority. Thank you for your cooperation and patience. Please stay safe.

Good afternoon,
At this time, no decision has been made with regard to school tomorrow as we are continuing to monitor forecasts which have varied predictions for areas across Page County. However, in order to allow staff and families time to prepare for tomorrow, we are advising you that we may need to call a two-hour delay tomorrow morning to navigate potential icy conditions, we may need to release students early to avoid flooded areas, or we may need to cancel school if some locations become unsafe for travel. We will notify staff and families by 8:30pm tonight or by 5:30 am tomorrow morning if there are any changes to the schedule for Tuesday, Jan. 9.
We thank you in advance for your continued patience as we work to ensure the safety of all staff and students.
