Tell Me Something Good-- Ms. Erica Unroe- Stanley Elementary-Music Teacher Ms. Unroe received a shout out from an anonymous submitter- "Ms. Unroe goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching music. My daughter is in first grade and absolutely loves her! She is constantly telling me about all the fun and new things that they do in her class. Tell Me Something Good - Mrs. Valerie Ferrell-- Stanley Elementary Mrs. Ferrell received a shout out from an anonymous submitter saying,"Mrs. Ferrell is a wonderful asset to the staff and students at Stanley Elementary. Tell Me Something Good- Our next shout-out goes to Mrs. Laura Yates, Title I Reading Teacher at Stanley Elementary School. Her anonymous submitter states, "Mrs. Yates is always the sweetest lady, she’s always greeting the kids and parents with such a great personality! She’s one of a kind, she goes above and beyond to help all the children with any needs they have!" Thank you, Mrs. Yates, for your positivity and willingness to help others. You are appreciated!

February is Career and Technical Education Month, and at Page County Public Schools we are highlighting the many programs within our division. Luray Middle School Agriculture Class, with teacher Lori DeMille, is participating in a "Plant the Moon" challenge. Only 20 schools in the state of Virginia were chosen for this project using lunar soil (simulant) to determine what growing success is possible . The students are required to submit photos and updates throughout the project.

Tell Me Something Good- Our next shout-out goes to Ms. Teresa Lam at Page County High School, where she serves as the Attendance Secretary and In-School Suspension Coordinator. Her shout-out comes from her co-worker Beth Rowe, who says, "She always has a smile for students and she's a great co-worker and friend. " Great job, Ms. Lam, positivity and good work relationships make our days so much more enjoyable. Thank you for all you do for PCPS!

Tell Me Something Good! Robin Benson, Pre-K teacher at Springfield Elementary School, has received two shout-outs in our campaign. The first comes from Ms. Jennifer Woodward who says, "Robin has been such a blessing to me and my girls since day one! I never pictured my children having to deal with the things they do as their first experience in school, but Robin has made the transition as smooth as she can and I'll be forever grateful to her. My girls absolutely adore her and I know she will always have a special place in their hearts! Thank you Mrs. Benson you are a rock star!!" Her second shout out comes from Ms. Morgan Foster. Mrs. Benson is amazing with this group of kids. Teaching 20 4 year-olds is not an easy task, but she makes it look good! I am so thankful my son has her as his teacher. She is patient with them, yet stern. They know what is expected. Thank you for all you do! Thank you Mrs. Benson, for all you do for Page County Public Schools and the students you serve. You are appreciated.

Next in our "Tell Me Something Good" campaign is Mr. Stacey Kibler. Mr Kibler is a bus driver (#66) for Page County Public Schools. His anonymous submitter says, "Stacey is always kind and positive...I trust my grandkids in his hands to and from school. He seems to be a very cautious driver." Thank you, Mr. Kibler, for taking such great care of our most treasured cargo. We appreciate all you do!

This morning we kick off our "Tell Me Something Good" campaign to celebrate Kindness Month. In our first post we thank Ms. Danielle Shenk, a teacher at Stanley Elementary School. The anonymous nomination states "Ms. Shenk has two food allergy kids in her class and she always goes above and beyond to make sure they are included in everything while keeping them safe. She always checks and doubles checks everything or has other safe treats so they do not feel left out. She is a rock star! Thanks for being AMAZING!" Thanks Ms. Shenk for going above an beyond the call of duty to be sure your students are safe and never excluded. Page County Public Schools would like to thank all of our School Resource Officers for all they do to keep our students, staff, and administration safe each day. The relationships that they form with our students last a life time. Thanks for the early morning bus duties, the late night sporting events, and all of the other extra curricular events that you attend to not only ensure safety, but support of our students. We appreciate you.
