This is an important message from Page County Public Schools:
Page County Public Schools will alter winter sports tryouts. Tryouts will be postponed for the next two weeks and the situation will be evaluated at that time for our next decision. Winter sports teams will continue with out-of-season workouts under the VHSL Phase III Guidelines during this two week period. Winter sports athletes should talk to their coach to confirm your workout time. Winter sports are Boys' and Girls' Basketball, Sideline Cheer, Wrestling and Indoor Track. All fall and spring sports will still honor the two week dead period. Therefore, no fall or spring sports will be practicing during this time. The current situation is very fluid and we will continue to update everyone as decisions are made for our school division and the Bull Run District. Thank you.
This is a very important message from Page County Public Schools:
Over the past few weeks we have been closely monitoring COVID-19 data and its impact on our schools and community. In recent days, the number of cases has increased in the community. While student COVID cases and quarantines across the school division is low, our staff absences due to the virus are significantly starting to impact our ability to sustain our in person instructional model. School staff and administration have worked creatively to substitute for colleagues leveraging all our resources. We expect additional staff absences over the next few weeks to increase and we will not have the substitutes available to cover sufficiently. Therefore, we are making a short term change wherein Page County Public Schools will go FULL REMOTE for the next two weeks. After that we will all take time to celebrate the season with our 2 week winter holiday break. Schools will be putting out announcements regarding pick-ups for instructional materials. Announcements regarding food delivery and athletics will be forthcoming. Please continue to check for additional updates. Thank you.
