Luray Middle School is excited to announce the addition of Ms. Kimberly Short. Ms. Short is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg. She is joining our amazing 6th grade team and will teach math. Ms. Short has worked at the Luray Caverns since she was a teenager and loves to see all the stalactites and stalagmites in the cave. Say, Ms. Short, do you think we could measure those in math class this year?

Transportation on school buses will still require wearing a face covering/mask and practicing good hygiene habits. Staff will also be required to wear a face covering/mask in all school buildings. NOTICE: Sharing Again With Some Clarification. Important Notice to Parents of Students Entering School: The pandemic situation DOES NOT exempt students from fulfilling physical and immunization requirements required for school entrance even if they have opted for an all remote learning option. https://5il.co/iotb Clarification: VDH requirement does require the HPV vaccine for sixth grade girls, but it also allows for parent discretion after immunization material review. Thus, parents can decide whether their child receives or DOES NOT receive the HPV vaccine. It is important to note the HPV vaccine can also be administered to boys.
