Please Share- Notice to parents in the Shenandoah Area- Bus 67 will not be running this morning and it will be split with Bus 29 and Bus 11. Crooked Run will ride Bus 29 and pick up will be the normal time. All other roads on Bus 67 route will be picked up by Bus 11, approximately 20 minutes late.

Weather Update - Monday, Jan. 30, 2022 On Monday, January 30, 2022, due to icy roads in some areas in the division, all PCPS schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay. We ask that everyone please drive carefully in the morning as temperatures will be very low and black ice may be present. Thank you and have a good evening.

Weather Update for Friday, January 28, 2022 This message is being sent to inform you that weather forecasts are being closely monitored and it may be necessary to dismiss students early on Friday, January 28, 2022. If an early dismissal needs to be announced it will be done by 8:00 p.m tonight or by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. Information about events and activities will be shared tomorrow. No changes will be made to the afternoon route. Listed below are the changes for the morning route ONLY. Bus 48 will cover 340 from the recycling center to Rudy's Diner and Eppard Subdivision around 7:45 a.m. Bus 2 will cover Shenandoah River Road- 7:30 a.m., Junior Avenue- 7:35 a.m. and High Knoll Terrace Subdivision -7:40 a.m. Bus 4 will cover Bus 58 Elementary second route at 7:45 a.m. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

*This week we will be honoring our principals and assistant principals for all of the hard work they do for our students. If you see them out and about, please let them know how much you appreciate them.* Today, we honor our high school and technical center principals and assistant principals. Page County High School: Principal: Mr. David Cale Assistant Principal: Ms. Shannon Hawkins Mr. Cale has been principal of Page County High School for 7 years. He said if he could give advice to his younger self he'd say, "Don't doubt yourself so much, go for it, it won't hurt...I promise." Mr. Cale is also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Ms. Hawkins is in her 1st year as an Assistant Principal at Page County High School. She says when she was growing up, she wanted to be a Radio City Rockette. Unfortunately, at 5'2" tall, she didn't meet the height requirements of 5'6 to 5'10 1/2. LOL. She says she's enjoying her first year as an assistant and the best part of her job is getting to see the kids everyday and just talking with them. Thank you Mr. Cale and Ms. Hawkins for all you do for Page County High School.

This afternoon the PCPS central office received a phone call from an unknown individual who did not make a direct threat to anyone in the division but caused concern among the division staff. Out of an abundance of caution, staff contacted the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) and Luray Police Department (LPD) who responded immediately. Appropriate steps were taken at PCPS schools to continue to ensure student and staff safety. LPD and PCSO personnel were present at all schools throughout the day and at dismissal. There will be additional law enforcement present at evening activities in the division. The LPD and the PCSO will also provide a continued presence at all schools tomorrow. We take all concerns very seriously and will continue to work collaboratively to ensure student and staff safety at all times.

Possible Inclement Weather on Monday, January 24, 2022 PCPS is currently monitoring the possibility of inclement weather tonight that could impact our Monday morning commute to school and work. If a decision is needed to move to a two-hour delay, information will be shared with everyone by 5:30am.
