On Monday night the school board approved Dr. Paul Johnson to be the principal for Luray Middle School. We are excited to have Dr. Johnson return to Page County Public Schools. Congratulations!

With the recent release of new guidelines from the Governor and the Virginia Department of Education, PCPS is in the process of planning how we will best serve our students in the upcoming 2020-21 school year. Upcoming Kindergarten parents: Next week, Monday, June 22, 2020, each of the four elementary schools will be hosting scheduled appointments to screen incoming Kindergarten students for the 2020-21 school year. If you have not heard from your student's school, please reach out to schedule an appointment to have your incoming Kindergarten student screened. Preschool update: Due to a number of extenuating circumstances, preschool acceptance letter will not be sent out until the week ending June 26, 2020. Thank you and please share.

Sports physicals to be offered by PMH clinics.

PAL --Performing Arts Luray--is planning a production that will take place on the grounds of the Singing Tower in early October. It will be a Shakespeare in the Park event that will involve the entire community as well as tourists. PAL would like to get students involved in project-based learning, and this Shakespearean play is a great way for students apply differing skills to a community event. Mark you calendars for auditions!

Page County Public Schools has developed a proposed Strategic Plan and would like to offer this plan for your review and comment. A copy of the plan has been placed at each school for anyone wishing to review it in person. Please contact your school to schedule a time to come in. This is a message from Page County Public Schools. End of the year report cards will be mailed today, Friday, May 29, 2020. The PowerSchool parent portal will be turned off for the summer while we work on student schedules for 2020-21. We wish everyone a safe and healthy summer!

In order to continue registration for VPI Pre-K enrollment you may visit LHS today from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Stanley Elementary on Thursday and Friday, all of which are functioning as a drive through. We are able to open things up a bit, and you may come in to fill out the paperwork. Please note the following documents needed for registration.
