Since before Thanksgiving break, the Nurse Aide students at Page County Technical Center have been working on personal care/grooming skills. These skills include: bathing, shaving, nail care, dressing, hair care and mouth/denture care. Once we go to clinical, we will be helping our residents with many of these skills daily. The students practice on each other for some skills and on mannequins for others. They have been getting to know each other better and working on communication skills while practicing these personal care skills!
These skills help our students to secure jobs that can lead to life-long careers in the nursing field.
