Page County Technical Center Practical Nursing students used a creative approach to understanding congenital heart defects by using playdough to model various cardiac anomalies. This hands-on activity helped reinforce their knowledge of complex conditions like Tetralogy of Fallot, Coarctation of the Aorta, and Ventricular Septal Defects in a fun and interactive way. Through this interactive activity, students explored nursing care and critical nursing interventions, as well as patient and family teaching for these complex conditions. By combining creativity with critical thinking, these future nurses gained a deeper understanding of pediatric cardiac care and the essential role nurses play in educating and supporting patients and their families.
