LHS Senior Spotlight -
Lucy Buracker has been a LHS athlete since her freshman year playing volleyball for 4 years, JV basketball for 2 years, varsity basketball for 1 year, winter track for two years, and spring track for three years. While competing in winter track, she set two school records (300&500m) and this year she was a 2 time regional champion and placed second at states in the 500m. She was also on the all-state 4x1 relay team. Lucy has also been a member of other clubs like FCCLA, Campaigners For Christ, and Varsity club. She plans on becoming a CCMA through a program at the Page County Technical Center following her certification test in June. After graduation, Lucy plans on attending West Virginia University to major in kinesiology. She wants to pursue a career in the medical field.


LHS Senior Spotlight-
Hayden Campbell participated in the following sports while at LHS: JV Baseball (1 year), JV Football (2 years), and Varsity Football (3 years). He was a team captain for football and received all district and all region honors. Hayden was a member of FFA and Campaigners for Christ. While doing all of these activities, he was also a volunteer firefighter. After graduation, Hayden plans to enter the work force.


While at Luray High School, Haley Spain has accomplished many things. She is currently a student in the Practical Nursing program at the Page County Technical Center. She is the FFA president and is in the National Honor Society. Haley always has a smile on her face and radiates rays of sunshine throughout the whole day. Haley plans to finish up her nursing school and become an LPN and maybe one day a doctor.


Senior Spotlight -
While at Luray High School, Lacynda Woodward was involved in 4-H, FFA, and FCCLA. After graduation, she plans to enter the workforce.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
While attending Luray High School, Dakota Foltz accomplished his academics and discovered a hobby in culinary arts. Dakota has plans to enter the workforce after graduation.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Michael Griffith has been a member of National Honor Society, Future Farmers of American and played JV and Varsity Football. He graduated from Page County Technical Center's welding program. After graduation he plans on working for a year and then plans to join the United States Air Force to become a Technical Rescue Medic.

LHS Senior Spotlight-
While at LHS, Collin Dallas participated in soccer his junior year. He has completed the two-year electrical program at the Page County Technical Center. Collin has enjoyed working at Luray Caverns since he was in the 8th grade. In his spare time, he enjoys getting dirty and greasy doing what he loves the most and that’s restoring his 1967 Camaro and his 1968 Chevrolet truck. After graduation, Collin plans to enter the work force as an electrician.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Elsea Weber has been an active member of the LHS Academic Team for 3 years, including achieving the group title of District Champions in her 2nd year, and later serving as co-captain during her senior year. Elsea has also been a member of several other clubs and activities at her school and has participated in many events in the community with school and as a Junior Member of the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad. She became a registered Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician through classes at Page County Technical Center. After graduation, Elsea plans on attending the University of Virginia to major in biology and minor in psychology in order to go to medical school.


Page County Public Schools is now accepting registration for Kindergarten. There are several options for families.
Option #1: Parent/Guardian may utilize the Google link (https://forms.gle/F2SKFQEj6W25dGsc8) to submit basic demographic information and schedule a phone interview to finalize the application.
Option #2: Parent/Guardian may download, print, and complete the application (Go to pagek12.org/ Menu/ Documents/Kindergarten Registration Materials). Drop the completed registration form off at the Central Office (735 West Main Street Luray, VA 22835) or their home school.
Option #3: Call their home school and complete the application over the phone with a staff member.

The student academic screening portion of the application process is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of June 22, 2020. During these appointments, all additional documentation will be completed and verified. The student school entrance health form must be completed prior to the student starting the 2020-21 school year.

LHS Senior Spotlight -
Ali Morrison has been a member of National Honor Society, Interact, Makers Club, Student Council and spent years playing JV and Varsity volleyball. She also volunteers at Rileyville Baptist Church in the Nursery. She will graduate as a Governor's Scholar from LFCC, which gives her a year of college classes completed. She plans on attending the University of Lynchburg where she wants to get a degree in American/British Literature and then get her Masters to become a college professor.

Page County Public Schools is now accepting applications for preschool. There are several options for families to apply.
Option #1: Parent/Guardian may utilize the Google link (https://forms.gle/iyBJw32tN5kXVGFa8) to submit basic demographic information and schedule a phone interview to finalize the application.
Option #2: Parent/Guardian may download, print, complete the application (To print: go to pagek12.org, click Menu/ then Documents/ then go to the Preschool folder). Drop the completed application off at Central Office (735 West Main Street Luray, VA, 22835) or their home school.
Option #3: Call the Central Office at 540-743-6533 and complete the application over the phone with a staff member.
As applications are received, Central Office staff will be scheduling individual appointments with parent/guardian, adhering to social distancing guidelines, to verify in-person proof of residency, student birth certificate, and income (pay stub, W-2, or current year's income tax information). During this in-person appointment, any needed additional documentation will be finalized and completed.
