
LHS Senior Spotlight -
Myleeah Lawson participated in track and cheerleading while at LHS. She was also a member of FCCLA, GSA, and STAND. During her time at Luray High School, she completed the 2 year cosmetology program at the Page County Technical Center. Myleeah plans on attending attending LFCC for 2 years and pursue a degree in Business. She will also be working in the cosmetology field.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Michael Clark ran track and field (5 years), winter track (2 years), and Cross Country (4 years). Currently Michael is in the Delayed Enlistment Program for the United States Air Force and plans to serve 6 or more years.

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year for 2019-2020 - Sarah Getz!! She is genuine and caring in her relationships with past and present students; prepares fun, interactive, and engaging lessons for her students; maintains high expectations in the classroom, thus promoting a strong classroom management environment; volunteers as a coach for the girls basketball team; lifelong learner (volunteers to learn new strategies and tools); promotes student successes by showcasing their products through seminar. Thank you for all you do!

Congratulation to our LHS Support Staff of the Year for 2019-2020 - Daniel Evans!! He is dedicated and invested in our school community and students; shows up early and works late; maintains a positive attitude and friendly demeanor with everyone; shares knowledge and expertise (teaching a class and mentoring students). Senior Spotlight -
Gary Knott III was a member of the FFA and also took automotive classes at the Page County Technical Center. After graduation, Gary plans to enter the work force for a year and then plans to advance his career in the mechanic industry by attending UTI in July 2021.


Senior Spotlight -
Lukas Lang completed two years at the Page County Technical Center in the electricity program. He plans to purse an electrical apprenticeship with the future goal of becoming a master electrician. He played JV Baseball for 1 year for the Luray Bulldogs . Lukas' hobbies consist of fishing and hunting.


Senior Spotlight -
While at Luray High School, Jordan Windle played Varsity Football for 4 years. Jordan plans to attend James Madison University in the Fall, majoring in Business.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
While attending Luray High School, Kylie Webb completed the CNA course at Page County Technical Center. Kylie was also a member of FCCLA for 3 years. Kylie plans to attend LFCC to further her education in nursing. She also plans to continue working as a CNA for Skyview Springs while working to get her LPN.

Attention Families:
Beginning Friday, April 17, 2020, those families receiving meals will receive multiple days worth of meals during each delivery. Deliveries will now be made on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Friday deliveries will now also include meals for the weekend. Meals are for any child in Page County who is 18 and under, there are no financial qualifications. The child does NOT need to be enrolled in Page County Public Schools. It is not too late to sign up to request meals, call or text 540-860-0848, or complete the form on the PCPS website, pagek12.org COVID-19 page.

We would like to send a shout out to our counseling department for the hours they have put in over the last 2 days to serve our seniors as they submitted scholarships and to ensure that items were ready to go for distribution. We are so grateful for Sherry Grogg-Mathews, Sarah Lam, and Ellen Lukasavage! Our counselors rock!

Senior Spotlight -
Alex Byrne came to Luray in 8th grade and made wonderful friends. She is proud to be a Bulldog. Alex plans on attending Lord Fairfax Community College in the fall and then wants to transfer to a four year college. She hopes to be a veterinarian.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Trevor Hasse loved getting to spend his senior year at LHS! He participated in football—earning second-team All-District—and basketball. He was a co-leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings this year. Trevor loves being a part of the worship team at his church, Mt. Carmel. He is planning to attend Bob Jones University in the fall to major in Business Management.


SAT Update:
College Board has cancelled the May and June SAT administrations. They will potentially be offering SAT administrations every month through the end of the calendar year, beginning in August. This includes a new administration in September and the previously scheduled tests on August 29, October 3, November 7, and December 5. These dates are subject to change so please check the College Board website. Students will be able to register for these administrations beginning in May at collegeboard.org. Eligible students will be able to take the exam with a fee waiver. Students who were registered for June and those in the high school class of 2021 who don't have SAT scores will have early access to registration for the August, September, and October administrations.

For Interested Student-Athletes Ages 12-18:
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a- national nonprofit that partners with schools and youth sport organizations across the country to help administrators enhance and maintain a positive, character-building culture for student-athletes.
PCA has decided to offer our Athlete online course for FREE until April 30th. If any student-athletes are interested in taking the course, have their parents register them. Click here to learn more. (Please note that this course is intended for athletes from 12 - 18 years-old. As long as an athlete is registered by April 30th, they will have access to the course for 10 months.)

LHS Senior Spotlight -
Elijah Dale played football (4years), track (4 years), and baseball (2years). Elijah was involved in the Spanish Club, Campaigners for Christ, and FBLA. Elijah is attending JMU in the fall and will major in Accounting.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Bree Hite played varsity soccer for four years. She was a member of the LHS Symphonic Band for one year, Marching Band for two years, Discovery Club and Makers Club. After graduation, Bree plans to pursue a degree in art.

While attending Luray High School, Dylan McAlister completed the electrity program at Page County Technical Center. Dylan also played varsity baseball for 1 year. Dylan plans to join the workforce after graduation.
