While reading "To Kill a Mockingbird", students created a mock trial to put the antagonist, Bob Ewell, on trial for perjury. Students had to use relevant evidence from the trial in the book to come up with their cases and it was up to the jury to find him guilty or to acquit him.

Mr. Lagoda's Tech Foundations students had a great time building dog houses that Page Paws will donate to needy dogs in the valley. Students also built bookshelves for the Luray Public Library!

Students took 6 VR (Virtual Reality) trips to Greece starting with a satellite voyage throughout the Acropolis in which students were dropped down into a hole in the ground created by a thunderbolt thrown by Zeus and rose back up. Next they took a walking tour of the current Acropolis to view the Parthenon, Erechtheum, and the Temple of Nike Athena up close. From there students journeyed the Dionysos (god of wine and wealth) Amphitheatre which is the birthplace of Greek drama. The Oracle Ruins at Delphi and Panathenaic Stadium (multi-purpose stadium entirely made of white marble that hosted the first modern Olympic games in 1896 and then used again for 2004 Summer Olympics) in Athens came next. Finally, students stood atop Mount Olympus high above the clouds.
