LHS Senior Spotlight -
Morgan Strassner will be attending the University of Virginia in the fall to study Biology in order to go to medical or veterinary school. She also plans to minor in Spanish to be a translator. She plans to enroll in the Disney College Program Internship in the fall of 2021. Morgan has participated in several clubs and activities, such as serving as captain and 3 time region champion for the LHS Forensics Team, President of Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society, and others. Morgan plans to continue her performing skills on UVA’s Speech and Debate Team.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
While at Luray High School, Olivia Grieve participated in the following - competition cheerleading for 4 years, sideline football cheer for 4 years, and basketball sideline cheer for 3 years. She has been a member of the National Honors Society and was Vice President this year. In addition, she was a member of the Discovery Club and Makers Club. Olivia will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University in the Fall and plans to pursue a career in Interior Design.


Chloe Hilliard plans to attend Longwood University or James Madison University to major in psychology. In her four years at LHS she was a chapter officer for FCCLA and an active member in Campaigners for Christ, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, and Leadership Club. She was also involved in filming for Boys Basketball (2 years) and Football (1 year). Additionally, Chloe kept the stats for Baseball (1 year).


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Brianna Hilliard will graduate from Luray High School and the Page County Technical Center. As a result of her academic path, she plans to attend Radford University in the Fall to major in nursing.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
Madison Kibler conducted her academics at Luray High School and the Page County Technical Center. While at the Page County Technical Center she was involved in the nursing program for a year and cosmetology for two years. She plans on becoming a cosmetologist after graduation.


LHS Senior Spotlight -
McKenzee Alger has been a member of the following over her 4 years at LHS - National Honor Society, Maker’s Club, FCCLA, Campaigners For Christ, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has also participated in Girls Varsity Basketball and Soccer. In the fall, McKenzee plans to attend Lord Fairfax Community College and earn an associates degree in Education. After that she plans to transfer to a four year university to receive a bachelors degree in Education in hopes of teaching K-2nd.


The Page County Technical Center's School of Practical Nursing is extending it's admission deadline due to current events. For those who have already applied or expressed interest, the pre-admission TEAS test dates have been updated due to the governor's latest executive order. The practical nursing program is open to all high school seniors and adult students! Please email Ms. Erika Rucker, director of the program, at erucker@pagecounty.k12.va.us if interested or if you have questions."



LHS Senior Spotlight -
Lexi Chappell is a member of National Honor Society, FCCLA, FCA, and Varsity Cheer. She is an officer of FCCLA and has been a member of the cheer program since eighth grade. She stated that she feels blessed that she will be an alumni of Luray High. In the fall Lexi plans on attending Lord Fairfax Community College to get her associates degree. She then plans to transfer to James Madison University where she intends to major in Pediatric Nursing.


LHS Senior Spotglight -
Olivia Turner has participated in Cross Country for 6 years, Indoor/Winter Track for 3 years, and Spring Track for 5 years. She is also a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Maker’s Club, and Book Club. Olivia plans on attending James Madison University and studying to become a nurse.


LHS will have a yearbook for the 2019-2020 school year. It will not be published until the fall of the 2020 - 2021 school year. During this time, please send pictures of your student to Steve Johnson (sjohnson@pagecounty.k12.va.us) of activities they are doing during their time at home so we can document this time in our history.

A Message Regarding Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration:
Page County Public Schools is currently exploring an online registration process for Preschool applications and Kindergarten registration. As soon as this program goes live, a link will be shared. Hailey Thomas played volleyball for 3 years, softball for 4 years, and forensics for 2 years. She is a member of National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Leadership Club, and Spanish Club. She plans to attend James Madison University in the Fall and pursue a career in criminal justice or health sciences

LHS Senior Spotlight -
Katie Marston is a senior at Luray High School as well as Massanutten Regional Governor’s School. She is a member of National Honors Society, Leadership Club, Girls Varsity Basketball, and Tri-M Music Honors Society. Most important to her is that she serves her peers as the Senior class president. In the fall she plans to attend the University of Virginia where she is excited to study either Environmental Science & Global Sustainability or Speech Communication Disorders.

PACA is partnering with LHS Leadership Club sponsors to reward your healthy choices! Each week for the month of April we will post a new contest. Participate by creatively capturing your participation in either a video or photo. Email entries to Mrs. Benson (msmith@pagecounty.k12.va.us) or Mrs. Campbell (cecampbell@pagecounty.k12.va.us).
