Having a basketball team that is headed to States is a big deal! Coach Joe Lucas, who coaches the Lady Bulldogs, has been interviewed by numerous media outlets. However, this morning, he participated in what might be the most important interview he's ever had !! 4th graders at Springfield Elementary School, (Where Coach Lucas is the P. E. teacher) in Ms. Savannah Dodson's class, are in process of starting a class newspaper. They are practicing interviewing techniques, summarizing, and other English SOL topics, by questioning Coach Lucas on his team's success, how it feels to be named Region 2B Coach of the Year, and be headed to the State Championship for the third time in a row.
Good Luck to the Lady Bulldogs and Coach Lucas this weekend at the Siegel Center in their quest for the State title once again!!

Tell Me Something Good--
Ms. Michelle Windle and Ms. Sabrina Matthews --Page County Public Schools --Speech Language Pathologist / Early Childhood
--Michelle-- "She has been with my daughter since. She was 18 months old. She is now 7 in a regular 1st grade class. She was non verbal and never told us how her day was. Now she is saying sentencing and telling us about her day. She has outgrew her class but Mrs. Windle is still a Major help even though she doesn’t have to. She has never left her side. Words will never express how much this lady does for her and other kids. We were blessed to be put in her life." Rebecca Shifflett
Michelle and Sabrina " These two ladies right here! They have been working with my son since before he was 3. They came into our life in the middle of developmental delays and an Autism diagnosis. To say they “took him under their wing” would be a complete understatement. They have loved my little guy as if he was their own and have brought the light out in him that we weren’t sure we would see. No one would believe the wonders they have done with him and we are so thankful for them! They have the best communication and make it feel like your child is their only child, but I know that’s far from true…they have many! I will never be able to put into words how blessed we are that these 2 ladies were placed in our lives." --Anonymous
Thank you, Ms. Windle and Ms. Matthews, for the difference you make in each child's life. You are appreciated.
Track practice is cancelled for today, March 7. Please spread the word.
