Important Bus Route Information: Notice to parents in the Shenandoah area: There will be No Bus 28 today. Bus 5 will be covering for Bus 28. Please expect delays of 20-25 minutes for Bus 28 students this afternoon. Thank you.

Mr. Fabian Ramirez was able to present to each Middle School on Friday, February 16, 2023, on The Kindness in Me. Fabian's message challenged students to be a room changer by spreading kindness everywhere they go. Fabian also shared with the students the difference between snitching versus reporting, focusing on when you snitch on someone, you want them to get in trouble. However, when you report someone, you want them to get help. Finally, Fabian discussed with students that we cannot control how people treat us, but we can control our responses.

Dr. Edmund Gordon One of the founders of the beloved Head Start program that many of our students have utilized today, Dr. Gordon honed in on closing the academic achievement gap for children who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. His goal wasn’t just to provide a better education for young students, but improve communities and family involvement across the board, helping those have educational opportunities that would otherwise never be possible without the program. Good afternoon Springfield Faculty, Staff and Families. We are writing to notify you that earlier this afternoon emergency services were called to Springfield Elementary School in response to an individual who required medical attention. This week, Page County Public Schools has celebrated Kindness Week 2024 with spirit days, school events, and students, staff, and administration were given t-shirts to wear on Thursday to show solidarity in spreading kindness. Kindness notes are an easy way to practice kindness. Kindness notes provide a concrete way to practice kindness through handwritten notes, electronic communication, or drawing pictures to show gratitude to others. Kindness notes can positively impact someone’s day. People will never forget how you made them feel.

Students in Mrs. Alger's English classes at Luray High School used Dr. Seuss books to create a 1 page graphic organizer identifying Elements of Literature. These elements include: theme, setting, point of view, summarizing, tone, and characterization.
